Privacy Policy — Lampada

Last updated: July 2026 · Applies to Lampada (previously published as “Orthodox Daily”)

Lampada is built to respect your privacy. The app has no accounts, no logins, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Nearly everything you do stays on your device. The one exception — requests you make to the AI Fasting Kitchen — is described plainly below.

What stays on your device

All of the following is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us:

The daily calendar, fasting rules, Scripture readings, and prayers are bundled in the app and work fully offline.

The exception: AI Kitchen requests

When you ask the Fasting Kitchen to generate something — recipes, a weekly plan, a pantry dinner, or an adaptation — the text needed to answer you is sent over the network. That includes your request, your saved food preferences (tastes, allergies, household size), any pantry items you typed, and the day's fasting rule. If you're prompting an AI, that content can't stay on the device — so here is exactly where it goes:

Subscriptions

Lampada Premium is purchased through Apple; Apple handles all payment details, and we never see your name, card, or Apple ID. To verify an active subscription the app uses RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous purchase record (the same random identifier plus Apple's purchase receipt) under RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Other network connections

The app contacts a few sources only to fetch content — never to send personal data:

Children's privacy

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
